The Maritime Logistics Education Taskforce (MLET) recently celebrated the 4th annual class graduation for its high school internship program and Fulfillment.com (FDC) was happy to continue their program partnership by taking on 5 interns for the 10-week logistics training program. To date, more than 60 students have graduated from the program, with many being offered summer or permanent placements with their respective internship employers. According to Heather Alkire, FDC’s VP of Human Resources, “I have been involved with MLET since its inception and Fulfillment.com was thrilled to have this opportunity to show the next generation of employees the crucial role that logistics play not just here in Savannah but worldwide. Our MLET interns this year included Shakiyla Campbell, Edward Jones, Shayla Jones, Mason Chestnut, and Jeremy Blair. All of the students were punctual, courteous, and professional, and we were pleased to offer a permanent position on our team to Jeremy Blair.”
