Receiving + inbound
Receiving, run by our own people at a node we operate.
Appointment, unload, count, inspect, and put-away of your finished sealed goods, run on Deposco under BestOMS. For dated goods, we log lot and expiry during receiving so the oldest stock is always first to ship. Our own people run this step, not a subcontractor.
What it is
The inbound front door to the whole catalog
Receiving is the first step in your product's life inside the Fulfillment.com network: inbound finished goods are scheduled, unloaded, counted, checked against the purchase order, and put away to a system-of-record location. What gets logged at the dock, including lot and expiry for dated goods, is what everything downstream (storage, picking, oldest-stock-first rotation, returns) has to work with.
All of this is ours: the facilities we operate, our own people, and our own customer success managers who own the outcome. We receive finished sealed product; we do not manufacture, fill, bottle, formulate, or primary-pack. If your product carries specific recordkeeping or labeling requirements, tell us about it and we'll talk through how receiving handles it.
How we do it
Receiving runs on Deposco, under BestOMS, at the dock
Every inbound receipt moves through the same four steps on the named platform, so the work is consistent across nodes and visible to you through the portal.
Appointment and unload
Inbound shipments arrive on a scheduled dock appointment and are unloaded by our own people at a node we operate, rather than handed to a trucking or warehousing subcontractor for that first touch.
Count and inspect
Each receipt is counted and checked against the expected purchase order in BestOMS, catching a short, over, or damaged shipment right at the dock, where it's easiest to resolve.
Lot and expiry at receiving
For dated goods, lot and expiry get logged in Deposco during receiving, which is what makes first-expired, first-out (FEFO) rotation possible: the system can tell pickers which lot to pull first instead of relying on shelf position alone.
Put away to a system-of-record location
Received units are put away to a tracked location in Deposco and appear as inventory in the BestOMS portal. Ask us how frequently portal data refreshes.
Dock-to-stock
The goal is inventory that moves from dock to shelf-ready, ready to sell as soon as it lands.
We don't publish a fixed dock-to-stock SLA. What we can tell you is the standard receiving is built to: counted, checked against the PO, and put away to a tracked location so it becomes sellable, traceable inventory as soon as it's put away. Tell us your product and volume when you request a quote and we'll talk through what to expect.

What receiving connects to
Accurate receiving feeds the rest of the catalog
Because every service runs on one platform and one inventory pool, what is captured at the dock carries straight through to storage, rotation, and the order.
Lot, expiry + rotation control
Lot and expiry data logged at the dock carries through to the order: FEFO rotation for dated goods, and near-expiry stock flagged before it's picked. Ask us how lot and expiry handling works for your product.
Inventory + warehousing
Once received and put away, your finished sealed goods are stored across an operated, multi-node network, with inventory status visible to you in the BestOMS portal.
Technology + portal
Deposco is the warehouse system that drives receiving; BestOMS is the order layer and your portal into inbound and inventory status.
Our network
Receiving happens at the node we operate closest to where your inbound freight lands, on a network we operate and answer for.

Questions buyers ask about receiving
What do we receive, exactly?
Finished sealed product. We receive, count, check, and put away finished goods that arrive at one of our nodes. We do not manufacture, fill, bottle, formulate, or primary-pack; receiving is the inbound handling of your already-finished, sealed units. If your product needs one of those upstream steps, tell us and we'll point you to the right partner.
When does lot and expiry tracking start?
During receiving. For dated goods, lot and expiry are logged in Deposco as part of the receiving process, which is what lets FEFO (first-expired, first-out) rotation run downstream. Some categories carry their own recordkeeping rules on top of that: 21 CFR Part 111, for example, sets out what a dietary supplement batch record has to contain, how long it is kept, and what has to be reproducible if the brand is inspected. That is a requirement on the brand, not a certification a fulfillment partner like us holds, so lot and expiry data has to survive the handoff into fulfillment intact. Tell us about your product and its category and we'll talk through how that fits into receiving for your program.
How fast is dock-to-stock?
Receipts move from dock to shelf-ready so inventory is not sitting unsellable. The right window depends on your product, your volume, and how the freight arrives. Tell us those when you request a quote and we will walk through what to expect.
What happens if a receipt does not match the purchase order?
Each receipt is checked against the expected purchase order in BestOMS. A good inbound process is built to flag a short, over, or damaged shipment at the dock; ask us about our current discrepancy-handling process for your product type.
Who actually handles my inbound product?
Our own people, at a node we operate, with our own customer success managers owning the outcome, rather than a subcontractor handling that first touch. Ask us how inbound handling works at your specific node.
