Fulfillment.com, a D&H company

Fulfillment by industry

Find the vertical that fits your product, run by one accountable operator.

The catalog is constant: receiving, storage, pick and pack, kitting, freight, and returns on facilities we operate and one platform, BestOMS. What changes per vertical is how we handle your finished goods: date-based rotation and lot control for supplements, branded presentation for beauty, bulky freight for pet, and so on. Start from your industry.

Industries we serve

Start from your vertical

Each industry overview shows how the catalog handles your product from the moment it lands on our dock to your customer's doorstep and back through returns. Request a quote to confirm the vertical-specific handling for your product and channels.

Industry overview

Books & publishing

Arrival condition decides whether a first sale becomes a second one, since corner damage is the leading cause of book returns. A launch date compresses a title's highest-revenue week into a handful of shipping days.

Supplements & vitamins

Every bottle carries an expiration date, so the oldest-dated stock has to ship first before it goes stale. A barcode check at the pick confirms the right bottle every time, so the right dose reaches the customer.

Beauty & skincare

Active ingredients like retinol lose potency outside a stable temperature range, so storage conditions decide shelf life. Recall rules require a brand to trace a batch fast, starting with data captured at receiving.

Pet products

Pet splits into two catalogs: heavy gear billed by size, not weight, and food tracked by batch and expiration date. Both halves run on one platform, so a litter order and a treat order pull from the same stock.

Apparel

One design multiplies into dozens of near-identical versions once size and color are added, so a mis-pick starts at the storage bin. A barcode check at every pick confirms the size and color before it ships.

Food & beverage

Perishable cases carry a best-by date, so stock rotates by that date, not by when it arrived. Refrigerated lines need real cold storage; today's network is room-temperature, air-conditioned in places.

Outdoor & sporting goods

Roughly half an outdoor catalog runs oversized or over ten pounds, so a carrier bills by box size, not just weight. A tent or kayak that looks like one item on paper can quietly double the shipping cost.

Furniture & home decor

Furniture is priced by freight class, where a bulky, light piece lands in a costlier bracket than its weight suggests. Damage in transit drives most returns, so how it's packed decides whether it arrives sellable.

Cleaning & household

An ordinary bottle can legally count as a hazardous material once its safety sheet is checked, changing how it ships. Enzyme and peroxide formulas lose strength on the shelf, so older stock has to move first.

Baby products

A baby catalog runs two ways at once: children's items that need full traceability, and bulky nursery gear billed by size. Federal law requires a tracking label, so a batch traces back fast when it matters.

Toys & games

Toy lines multiply into new editions faster than shelf space grows, so a barcode check confirms the right edition at the pick. Demand spikes before the holidays, and returns spike back in January.

Office supplies

Office accounts reorder by the case as often as the single unit, so one product must serve both from one pool. A retailer's rules often require advance notice and a standard label before accepting a shipment.

Collectibles & memorabilia

Condition is most of an item's resale value, so packaging is chosen per item, not pulled from one system. A barcode check at the pick and pack confirms the exact item before a release-day rush ships it out.

Fragrance

Alcohol-based perfume is a regulated flammable liquid in breakable glass, yet it still has to feel like a luxury unboxing. Federal rules cap how much can move by ground at once, based on its own safety sheet.

Jewelry

Many fulfillment companies turn fine jewelry away outright; the security it demands exceeds a typical warehouse. Color, metal, and size turn one design into dozens of variants, each barcode-checked before shipping.

Luggage & travel gear

Luggage is a low-density freight problem: it weighs little but fills a large box, so the carrier bills for the space. Wheels and handles are what actually break in transit, not the shell around them.

Small electronics

Capturing a serial number at receiving can make a warranty claim provable months later. A device with a battery also falls under its own federal shipping rules, separate from an ordinary parcel.

One catalog, adapted to your product

The services stay the same. The handling profile changes.

We do not run a different operation per industry. We run one vertically integrated operation and tune the handling to what you sell.

Dated and regulated goods

Supplements, food, and beverage share one requirement: stock rotates by expiration date, tracked batch by batch on Deposco, the system running the warehouse. Near-expiry stock is blocked before it reaches a label.

Premium and branded SKUs

Beauty, skincare, and baby products get the branded presentation those categories are judged on. We add inserts, packaging, labeling, and gift wrap to the finished unit during pick, pack, and kitting.

Bulky and freight-heavy goods

Freight-heavy catalogs like pet, outdoor, furniture, and home decor all route through carrier-scale freight instead of one-off rates. We route each item by size and weight and box it to fit.

Across every vertical, the scope is finished, sealed product. Your goods are received, stored, tracked by batch and date, picked, packed, shipped, kitted, and returned by one operator. Manufacturing, filling, and formulating stay with you and your co-packer.

The catalog behind every vertical

Every industry overview draws on the same full service catalog.

Whatever your industry, the underlying capability is the same: receiving, warehousing, pick and pack, kitting, returns, freight, marketplace, and omnichannel, run by one operator on one platform. See the full catalog to understand what each hub is built on.

  • One operator across receiving, storage, pick and pack, kitting, freight, and returns
  • One platform: BestOMS, with Deposco and Dropstream behind it
  • One inventory pool serving DTC, marketplace, and retail at once

Questions buyers ask about industry fulfillment

How do you adapt fulfillment to my industry?

The catalog stays the same. What changes per vertical is the handling profile we apply to your finished goods. Dated consumables get first-expired-first-out (FEFO) rotation, so the oldest-dated stock ships first, plus lot-level traceability; premium SKUs get branded presentation and value-added packaging; bulky goods get freight-class optimization and are routed by size and weight. Start from your industry overview to see exactly how the catalog handles your product.

Do you manufacture or fill product for my industry?

No. Fulfillment.com is a vertically integrated 3PL (third-party logistics provider). We handle finished sealed product only: we receive, store, control lot and expiry, pick, pack, ship, kit, and return it. We do not manufacture, fill, bottle, formulate, or primary-pack, regardless of vertical.

My industry is not shown here. Can you still fulfill my product?

Yes. These overviews present specific verticals; they are not a gate on capability. The full service catalog serves brands beyond the industries shown here, and we confirm the vertical-specific handling for your product and channels when you request a quote.

Can I take only the services my industry needs?

Either. Pick only the services you need today, or take the whole catalog from one operator. Because every service runs on one platform, BestOMS (with Deposco and Dropstream behind it), and one inventory pool, adding a service or a channel later does not mean re-platforming.

What runs the lot, expiry, and recall control my industry depends on?

One platform, BestOMS, with Deposco and Dropstream behind it. BestOMS runs your orders and gives you a portal to see them, Deposco runs the warehouse behind it and applies the lot, expiry, and FEFO rules configured for your product, and Dropstream connects your store and marketplaces into it. That traceability runs through the system's configured rules, not a manual step.
